I bought a used Audi wagon with over 100K miles on it, needless to say there were plenty of problems that needed attention and Billy and Michael were patient and professional with explaining what I needed and what it was going to cost me down the road to have the repairs done. Their work was thorough and their ability to diagnose problems is efficient and precise. If you are shopping around for an honest mechanic in NYC these are your guys. I have run into other Audi owners in Brooklyn who also use L&M for maintenance and everyone has the same opinion, Great mechanics!

If you've read the other good reviews, then mine will add support to your decision to do business with Bill and Mike. They're in a business that depends on good word of mouth advertising, and customers coming back because they were treated fairly and honestly. They know the cars they service very well, and respect the customers by talking with them intelligently. Their reasoning and explanation of the work required is logical, and they take the time to go over that work with you (more than once if you like). My car is a 2003 Porsche Boxster that I bought in Connecticut in April of 2015. Of course, it did not come with a warranty, but after having it serviced by L&M, I am much more confident that the car will be maintained and repaired correctly because of Bill, Mike and their entire crew.

A year and a half ago we purchased what was a dream family automobile- a '90 VW Vanagon Westfalia. We ourselves found what we thought was a gem- a 135k miles with a supposedly rebuilt engine at 100k and one that looked pristine. Sight more or less unseen, we shipped it to NY from California. Well, mechanically she was far from a gem- a cracked cylinder wall caused oil to burn rapidly and coolant pipe corrosion led to overheating. Then through a friend of friend we found Billy and his son Michael. The time, effort and honesty to do to the jobs the RIGHT WAY every single time was so evident. When Billy tells me what needs to be done and what is required- I know it is coming from a master mechanic with decades and generations of experience at all stages of automotive engineering. With a properly L&M re-built engine our van runs as if it's a year off the lot and with a tenth of the miles. From the very gentle rumble of the engine as it was designed, to the softer ride resulting from an ever so negative camber wheel position- the results are evident every time I'm behind the wheel. Honest, great work, done right at fair prices- what more do you want?

Excellent service, they keep me abreast of problems along the way - sending photos to show damage. Problems are explained well and I feel like they are concerned about my wallet. I would highly recommend them.
