Not Too Late...

If you have a VW/Audi - go to L & M. Bill was very clear about what he needed to know what was wrong with my car (1999 Passat V6). I had it worked on previously by another honest mechanic - but I NEEDED a technican. He even called the previous mechanic to ask what work they did! All German cars NEED maintenance and tweaking - even when everything is working fine. That's what I appreciate about them - they are precision machines and must be treated as such. Oddly enough, I suspected that my car hadn't been fixed specifically the first time - Bill helped me with this conclusion. Bill, Mike and Mark have been helpful and clear about my car issues - and what I could have done to fix the problem right IF I saw them first. Yes, the location is out of the way - but their attention to detail isn't. With the quality issues VW has experienced the past five years, L & M should be able to get you back on track with your car. Should I have a need for a technician for any German car in the future - I'll know where to go.

Bill will take great care of you and your vehicle!

You won't belive the service you get from these guys. They fixed things the dealers overlooked for years -- I mean important things like the fuel filter. After Bill gave our car a thorough going-over, our car is running great -- so great that it's like a different vehicle. I'm glad we found L&M. Bill is our kind of repairman. He tells you what you need, what you don't need, and what you should consider doing soon. We used to take our car to dealerships, one in Manhattan, one in Greenwich, CT and one in Queens. Our understanding was that the dealerships had PROPER parts. That may be true. However, that doesn't mean they'll put them on YOUR car. Those parts might be reserved for the showroom cars. Bill put good parts on our car -- the proper parts for our car! And he put them on correctly for no additional charge! (sarcasm intended) We'll trust our car to Bill and his sons at L&M from now on.
